Such a sad poem

This place in Africa
Cameroon was our home
‘Till a man came and hosed us
Wet through to the bone

He thru over us a net
And pulled it so tight
We all started growling
And screaming with fright

A terrible journey
It was just pure hell
To England they sent us
For people to sell

Some of us lived
But most of us died
Our wings they were cut
Our feet they were tied

Shoved into small cages
We were roughly thrown
Further and further
Away from our home

From one place to another
Then another thrice more
Then thankfully here
Where I now feel secure

I am starting to trust them
And learning their speak
I have friends and good food
All I ever would seek

But I think of the others, who were netted from the tree
Most of them dead now, how cruel can it be
To be dragged from our homeland, and never be freed
Lives wasted by torture, all for mans greed

Very touching. I'm very excited about your Tour! You have to, Dianne! You are still looking gorgeous as ever. (Sorry Sammie, you too!) xoxo

I am too but a plane trip to Australia is so freaking long! I'd have to drug myself. It's something like 20 hours. Ugh.
