She's now a picture hanger!

We had to hire a man to hang our art pieces since they are so heavy and one wall is concrete! I've included some of them and as you can see, our tastes are very eclectic. That's from living in so many different homes, I guess.

Sammie was under my desk, watching the guy as he drilled holes and pounded nails into the walls. Sure enough, she was imitating the sound of the hammer and moving her head up and down, just like she was hammering. She also started making the drilling sound. The guy is looking around like, what the...? I said, "It's the bird, it's the bird!" He got this strange look on his face.

Sammie has become irritated if I leave the room and don't take her with me. Such a high-maintenance girl. She says, "Dianne, Dianne, where are you?" Then, in a very loud voice..."Hey!!!!"

Dianne

Why should I be left in the room, all alone? Am I not part of this family? She knows that if she doesn't take me with her, I'm going to find something to destroy.

A New Toy

Sammie now has a music box! When she pushes the white area in the middle of the heart, it plays a series of tunes (children's songs) and is good for 1000 plays.

AG's aren't easily introduced to new things so she stared at it all day yesterday, as you can see in the picture. She went as far away from it as she could and fluffed up, while watching it.

Today, she started playing with it and managed to hit the middle and the music began. She likes it.

Dianne

I would have liked Country music instead of kid's songs. Maybe Big & Rich or George Jones?

A new friend?

This is Lizzie and she's just barely eight weeks old. You can tell how small she is by her Daddy's feet. She lives down the hall from us.

Looks like a little snack to me, actually.

My favorite place...

Sammie, Diz and I love to sit by the pond behind our building (flat). The sound of the fountain in the pond is so relaxing and there is a duck with 10 babies! I've included a picture of a few of them.

A woman who was driving by, saw us and parked her car and had to come over and look at Sammie, she was so infatuated. Sammie just stared at her, as usual. "Does she talk?" Yes, but you'd never know it. She clams up when strangers approach her.

After the woman left, a young man decided to take a nap on one of the benches so we left. Made me uncomfortable. (picture included)

She's right. I love it out there and so does Diz. Diz and I were discussing this and don't know what we're going to do when Winter hits! Must find new location.
